HOW DID YOU GET INTO MODELLING?
A few friends recommended trying it out a couple of years ago. I always actually hated people taking photos of me when I was younger — I only liked to take selfies. It is quite ironic that I became a model.
Anyways, I booked a portfolio with a great photographer and submitted those shots to agencies in Melbourne. It snowballed from there.
THE BEST AND MOST CHALLENGING PART OF YOUR JOB?
The best part is when the coffee arrives early morning. Jokes. The best part is that every job I do is different and I get to meet some pretty cool people. I love creativity so I really benefit from working amongst creatives. I work with some fantastic photographers and brand owners and have absorbed their energy. Lana being one of these people.
The most challenging part of the job for me is maintaining the health of my hair. Constant styling with heat definitely takes its toll on my hair, I have to do a lot to keep it healthy.
WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DAY?
Coffee. Sunscreen. Pilates or yoga. Sometimes a run or a walk and then I carry out my day whether it be shooting or something else. I generally eat quite healthy but have no restrictions on what I eat. I am addicted to Mr Squeeze smoothies and cookies from Bistro Morgans.
I always put my mental and physical needs first before I start my day. I love to be active and know that I can accomplish much more if I give myself that time of day to tune into my body and challenge myself.
WHAT’S ALWAYS IN YOUR BAG?
Charlotte Tilbury lip liner – Pillow Talk Medium
La Mer – Luminous Lifting Cushion Foundation (with a dash of SPF)
Slick Stick – slick hair don’t care
Mini brush – always
Mints – just cause
Hair claw
WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON?
Many 90’s supermodels like Kate Moss and Linda Evangelista have been huge style icons to me over the years. Recently I have been loving Lily-Rose Depp’s style. Loved Megan Fox in the 2000s.
DREAM TRAVEL DESTINATION?
I would love to go back to Austria. If you haven’t been… it’s stunning.
BIGGEST CAREER MILESTONE
Fortunately, I have worked with some amazing brands that I personally love over the past year. I felt very proud of myself and my career with these accomplishments. I value myself on not only what I achieve but how I manage to achieve it and how I felt in the process.

ADVICE TO SOMEONE GETTING INTO MODELLING?
If you’re already thinking about it, then that’s your sign to give it a try. My best advice would be to test shoot with as many cool photographers that you personally vibe with as possible. Learn from them and absorb what they say, take up their criticism and appreciate their compliments.
I remember, after a wrap of one of my first big shoots, the photographer showed me his favourite photo that he took. His favourite photo of me was probably my last pick of them all. Understand that when you are a model, everyone looking at you has a different perception of beauty. You have to accept your flaws and understand that some people perceive them as beautiful.
