Warm spring weather saw the BECK Caulfield Guineas Day kick the Crown Golden Ale Caulfield Cup Carnival into high gear. The Fashion and Entertainment Precinct was a highlight for racegoers. Hosted by my favourite’s Rhys Uhlich and Lee Chan, who are two of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of dressing. These gorgeous souls along with Scherri Lee Biggs, kept me on my fashion toes, however with David Jones, Chadstone- The Fashion Capital, Jack London, Alannah Hill and Nine West as official sponsors – it definitely made my job a little easier.
The stage saw the prestigious Chadstone Fashion Stakes take place, while prominent Melbourne DJ Andy Murphy took to the desks to provide the soundtrack for the catwalk.
I was fortunate enough to be included among the judging panel which included a panel of fashion, media and celebrity identities. I had the pleasure of judging with television presenter and David Jones Ambassador Emma Freedman, The Trendspotter’s Dasha Gold and Nova news presenter Lauren Brain. Entrants competed for a combined prize pool of over $100,000. It was so hard to choose a winner as all the girls and gentlmen had gone to such an effort and all looked fabulous. The stylish few who won went on to compete for a chance to win a trip to Ascot on Crown Golden Ale Caulfield Cup Day.
After my judging duties I put my dancing shoes on and headed to the exclusive Pommery Pegasus Club Marquee. Big love to the Melbourne Racing Club and Chadstone- The Fashion Capital for having me. With special mention to Thurley and Lady of Leisure Millinery for dressing me – loved everything about this look.
