The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and Myer officially announced talented equine enthusiast and eventer Rebeccah Panozza as the 2014 Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador last month. As the VRC appointed stylist for this role, which has been very exciting thus far, I have had the pleasure of working with Rebeccah, or Beccy as she is affectionately known to friends, the past few weeks preparing and styling her upcoming racing commitments. With this in mind, it was a nice change for us to be talking ‘red carpet’  looks for her first appearance at the 2014 Brownlow Medal. This time, not in her role as the Myer Fashion’s on the Field Ambassador, but as the partner of Collingwood’s Travis Cloke.

I was fortunate to have talented Myer designer. the amazing Alex Perry dress Beccy for the evening. I had seen this monochrome gown flow down the runway at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in May, earlier this year. Effortless, timesless and oh-so-chic, we loved it.

To make it a little interesting, not unlike most couple’s following the end of season break, Beccy and her partner took a well deserved mini break in Fiji, arriving back in Melbourne on the Friday prior to the Brownlow Medal.  This would be the first time she would try on her dress. Tired and with a glowing tan, Beccy traveled straight from Melbourne Airport to her fitting…and the rest they say is history.
