Following styling the film the Caulfield Journey, I was thrilled and excited to be asked to style the Melbourne Racing Club’s (MRC) Style Ambassador Nicole Warne and Social Ambassador, Scherri Lee Biggs for the official launch of the 2014 Crown Golden Ale Caulfield Cup Carnival as well as the Caulfield festivities over the Spring Racing Carnival. With the MRC’s fashion partner being David Jones, I had some of Australia’s best designer collections to choose from. So exciting times ahead…
On a Thursday evening, following the AFL Grand Final, Melbourne Racing Club hosted Australia’s finest personalities for the highly anticipated unveiling of the 2014 Crown Golden Ale Caulfield Cup Carnival.
Caulfield Racecourse was transformed into a dazzling black (and gold) tie event, which saw the announcement of Caulfield Style Ambassador – Nicole Warne (of fashion blog, Gary Pepper Girl) and Social Ambassador, TV personality Scherri-Lee Biggs, who also celebrated her birthday during the evening. Other guests included model Sophie Van Den Akker, Luke Wiseman of D’Marge, fashion blogger Erin Maxwell and husband Nick Maxwell, Liz Sunshine of Streetsmith and fashion bloggers Jasmine Howell and Jess Dempsey.
The focal point of the evening was the announcement of exciting additions to key racedays across entertainment, style, racing and hospitality. For those that attended Caulfield Race Days. I’m sure you’ll agree, the investment in entertainment, was second to none.
It was beyond a pleasure to style Nicole and Scherri for the evening, alongside one of Melbourne’s best make-up artists, Jade Kisnorbo and hair stylists from Heading Out Hair and Beauty. I looked no further than David Jones’ designers Bianca Spender and Manning Cartell. Nicole’s style is very elegant, chic and sophisticated and we wanted to ensure for her first official appearance as the MRC’s Style Ambassador, her look reflected that. As for Scherri, her style is easy but fashion forward and and we couldn’t resist a little monochrome magic from Manning Cartell’s Resort collection for the cocktail event. As for me, I was very last minute.com and managed to get my hands on another eye-catching Manning Cartell dress that I accessorised with a simple pair of Tony Bianco shoes. But enough about me, shop the girls looks below.
