BLACK & WHITE. SHAKUHACHI

I admit, I never miss an opportunity to wear black and white. I realise it  might be time to change it up and explode with some colour, but like most of the people I work with, I too desire to look quite sleek and effortless, without looking like I’m trying to hard. Liz Sunshine of my favourite street blog, Streetsmith enticed me to be photographed to feature on her blog recently.

I’m not one to rock a maxi, so this is definitely a little left of centre for me. Since I became a mum almost a year ago, my style has definitely evolved. I don’t tend to wear anything too short but I still need my clothing choices to have an edge. When I first laid eyes on this Shakuhachi dress, I knew I had to have it. It encompasses my favourite trends; monchrome and leather. For the purposes of the shoot, I decided to style it with a wide brimmed hat by Ace of Something and a pair of Tony Bianco  mules. Mules are a huge trend for summer, so if you haven’t got a pair in your wardrobe, invest now! They also make your legs look leaner and longer.

My husband Liam brought me this Givenchy bag for Moth

er’s Day. It has literally become a staple for my daily wardrobe – couldn’t resist including it.
